We are very excited to now offer a new, high-end PLA 3D printing filament. We carry a full line of PLA, ABS, PETG, and Woodfill materials. Our filaments are made in the USA using very high quality standards of +/- 0.05mm in diameter and +/-0.03mm in roundness. A portion of every sale is allocated to our Enviromaker initiatives to support education, innovation, and sustainability.
Tested For Superior Performance
After extensive testing with various Lulzbot and Ultimaker 3D printers, we can assure you that you can print with confidence knowing you can expect quality results. We vigorously tested the material to ensure a top quality performance with the 3D printers we carry.
For the easiest printing experience with the Ultimaker 2+ and Ultimaker Extended+, we recommend printing our spool holder - Download here.
For the easiest printing experience with the Ultimaker 3 and Ultimaker 3 Extended, we recommend printing a spool holder adapter like this one - Download here.
What is PLA?
PLA is one of the most popular 3D printer filaments for a reason. This material is commonly refereed to as the easiest to get consistent, impressive looking prints. PLA is also a nontoxic, bio-degradable material derived from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugar cane so it is less of an environmental burden than other materials.
We recommend PLA for new users to 3D printing. Compared to other materials, it has much less tendency to warp or curl, and performs well with almost every type of 3D printer. PLA sticks very well to blue painters tape or extra hold hair spray on glass surfaces.
PLA filaments should be stored in a cool dry place since PLA does tend to absorb moisture. This can lead to poor quality and performance.
2.85mm vs 3.00mm
We often get questions about the difference between 2.85mm and 3.00mm filaments. Usually, most filaments labelled as 3.00mm will actually be closer to 2.85mm in diameter. Our materials are truly 2.85mm filaments which means superior printing performance with Ultimaker 3D printers, as well as those that require 3.00mm such as Lulzbot Taz 6 and Mini. Just remember to configure your slicing software for a true 2.85mm material and you can expect impressive results.

Ordering was seamless and delivery was quick. I’m happy to find a Canadian supplier.
PYM3D filament worked well. Stock was available for pick up the next day.
I'm almost done with the spool, still struggle a bit with stringing and bed adhesion on my Ender 3 v2. Tried a bunch of different temperature and retraction settings, but still not perfect. If the model has holes starting on the first layer (or tight corners) it's a bit hard to not need to overshoot -Z offset and/or use glue stick. Although it looks very good, smooth and shiny lateral surfaces, great contrast.
