Nylon 645 was designed by Taulman 3D to offer all of the strength and durability of their first Nylon, 618, with the added ease of use due to less de-lamination and warping. This material offers incredible strength in your printed parts and has an added benefit of not emitting any fumes like other materials such as ABS.

For the best results when printing, be sure to print in thicker layers heights. it is suggested to print at 60% of your nozzle diameter. So if you have a 0.4mm nozzle, print at 0.25mm layer heights and up.

Be aware that nylons are very prone to absorbing moisture so store in dry place.

From Taulman 3D:

"Today, Nylon 645 is the established industry standard for high strength, high durability 3D Printing. Over 60 corporations and manufacturing companies use Nylon 645 for their most demanding designs and needs. Nylon 645 comes on 1 lb and 20 lb spools. 645 is a 65% transparent white color. It has a higher strength than 618 and is about 20% less pliable. 645 will dye with acid based dyes. Even though the polymer is less pliable, it maintains the slippery surface feature of nylons. Also as a nylon 6T variant, clumping is almost non-existent. 645 is a preferred polymer when parts to be printed will be subject to high stresses. As an extremely durable polymer, it handles stress at elevated temperatures. Depending on use, as high as 160C. 645 has the same chemical resistance as 618, but has 20% more resistance to chlorines."

Recommended Printing Settings

Nozzle = any size

Print speed = 80% of  ABS speeds

Retraction = 1mm/.1mm nozzle or for a .5mm nozzle = 5mm

Print bed = Glass heated to 45C with coat of PVA

STORAGE: Every order comes with one large resealable bag with slider + an extra desiccant included. It is important to store your filaments in a dry area to avoid moisture absorption when not in use. The bag and desiccant ensure your filaments stay dry and free of dust & dirt to make sure your next project prints without a hitch.
